Mini Mealworms

Mini Mealworms are approximately 15-18mm long and are available in packs of 40g and 500g. High in protein and fat, Mini Mealworms are ideal for smaller-sized reptiles and are also popular in bird feeders for wild birds.

Feeding Instructions:

Feed Mini Mealworms as part of a varied diet to any suitably sized reptile or amphibian. Use feeding tongs or place them into an appropriately sized feeding dish. Be sure to check and remove any uneaten live food a few hours after feeding.

1. Storage: Store Mini Mealworms in a cool, dry place. The ideal temperature range is 40-50°F (4-10°C). A refrigerator can be used to slow their metabolism and extend their shelf life.
2. Container: Keep Mini Mealworms in a smooth-sided container with adequate ventilation to prevent moisture buildup and mold growth.
3. Substrate: Provide a substrate of bran, oatmeal, or wheat germ, which Mini Mealworms can burrow into and feed on.
4. Moisture: Add a small slice of potato, carrot, or apple to provide the necessary moisture. Replace the moisture source every few days to prevent mold growth.
5. Cleanliness: Regularly clean the container by removing any dead worms or leftover food to maintain a healthy environment for the Mini Mealworms.
